We all know someone who just has such a calming and in-tune way about them, that we end up telling them all sorts of things about us that we wouldn't ordinarily say out loud!
I see that in my work as a Coach of course and some of my students have that instinctive way about them. Especially Rosemary Cunningham. She trained as a Life Coach with me but has also run her own business for many years and first found out about her talent for being someone people could open up to, a long time ago. She uses her talent so perfectly, here's what she has to say;
1. What talent do you naturally have that makes you successful?
I am able talk to people easily and am able to help them relax and open up, to work out what is really causing discomfort in their life.
2. When did you first realise that talent was going to help you and how do you use it?
When I was a student nurse in 1984, one of my main duties was to admit new patients, ask them very personal questions and submit them to humiliating procedures to prepare for their hospital stay. One young man underwent a major operation to investigate severe pain but no cause could be found. I felt he needed a sympathetic ear more than surgery or medication although my colleagues disagreed. He came back to the ward later, fully recovered, with a bunch of flowers just for me! With my coaching and therapy clients, I use this help them find the real causes of their pain, discomfort and to move forward as happier, healthier people.
