What talent do you naturally have and how do you use it?
I naturally have creative talent as a writer, and strong powers of concentration, as well as a lot of natural high energy. I use my talent to help other people convey powerful messages when they are subjects of my feature stories, and that way I bring them to life for the media and public.
My powers of concentration and natural intelligence also allow me to be really good at strategic planning and I use this skill to help others get in motion, in terms of their goals and objectives for their projects. Someone once told me that I literally kept "their feet to the fire". I also have a natural ability to be able to connect with others, and thus I'm able to help others make connections they need, at least, if they are willing to meet me half way. God graced me with a vivid imagination, and I use that to share creative ideas with others that help them make progress towards their goals. Someone revealed to me that I "breathed new life" into their project through my innovative approach.
When did you first realise that talent was going to help you and how did you use it?
I was empowered when I won a creative writing fellowship in college. I began to understand then, that my writing could be influential in sharing ideas, but I also became a writing tutor to help students who were struggling with writing. We were taught by our professor mentor that we were the "gods and goddesses" of writing at the college. I used my skill to try to enlighten others on how to organize their ideas in a piece of writing. I enjoyed it so much, I later became an English professor for many years. That experience helped me relate to all kinds of people, and patiently guide them to be more successful. I still do that today, as a publicist.
