1. What talent do you naturally have that makes you successful?
One day when I was feeling down, someone gave me the idea of emailing my closest friends and asking them what they thought of me. It was a very interesting exercise! And what came back from that, gives me the answer to this question:
Attentive and patient, sympathetic to others' situations, and I make people feel comfortable and welcome. In a nutshell I connect with people extremely easily. I think I am very successful in my personal life and know that these qualities will help further my success in my relatively new business life.
2. When did you first realise that talent was going to help you and how do you use it?
I think I have only just realised it! I think as a permanent make up specialist, you need to be able to connect with people, and really understand their needs. The women who come to me are dissatisfied with at least one small part of their appearance, and are looking for an improvement. They want me to listen to what they want, advise, be attentive and deliver with understanding. So I do – with ease. When I trained a few years ago, I knew my work was going to bring happiness to my life and others, and my natural talent helps me endlessly.
And I love my work. The joy I see in my clients when the procedure is complete and their look is transformed, is so fulfilling.
