I was always quite well organised and able to 'easily let go of stuff' but didn't consider those traits as talents... But then, one fine day, I realised that others were lacking in inspiration on how to stop sweating the small stuff and getting their lives more into an easygoing, joyful flow...
2. When did you first realise you had this talent and how do you use it every day?
A turning point was when my sister died and I noticed that nobody was able to handle her things - only me. There is a specialist area in de cluttering called bereavement de cluttering - I think this brings it home very clearly that things are never just things - we have thoughts and emotions invested in everything we own! I use clearing as part of my personal development every day... it could be time clutter, electronic clutter, mental or emotional clutter or something from the 'anything unfinished - clutter' list!
